He was baptized as medicine man with his second name, Amaru Nanki.

The Story Of Vida Sagrada Events
Taita Galo Amaru Nanki had been working in Ecuador as Uwishin (Shuar medicine person), upholding the responsibility of his ancestors with plant medicine for over 20 years. His work improved the lives of many, helping those with severe addictions, health issues, traumas etc., with ancestral healing techniques. He wished to share the truth of his indigenous practices, but didn’t have the media accessibility in order to do so. Meanwhile, the family, as fate would have it, would come together…
Alora and Jessica found themselves in Ecuador partaking in a powerful, amazonian ceremony under the care of the Taita and his Shuar family. Afterwards, they were to be initiated on the medicine path and taught by Taita Galo Amaru Nanki thereafter.
Being humbled and inspired by the integrity and power in Taita Galo’s indigenous medicine, they formed the idea to help spread his mission with creating a media presence.
Hence, the seed of Vida Sagrada Events was born.

This path requires commitment and years of dedication in order to offer real healing with ancestral medicine. As ayahuasca becomes more popular, it is very important to discern who you are receiving medicine from and to know if the cultural practices surrounding these master plants are being respected. It is an extensive life study and the secrets or ‘knowledge’ around this plant has been passed down for thousands of years for those native to the Amazon. This ancestral work is real and profound if done right. That is Taita Galo’s promise; traditional and profound medicine.
We aim to use these platforms to teach about Taita Galo’s Shuar culture and to make safe and transformative medicine accessible. We aim to honor the cultures that are home to these ceremonies and medicines, to be as transparent and as ethical as possible as we feed this seed of Vida Sagrada Events.
All medicine in our ceremonies and retreats are served under the guidance of Taita Galo Amaru Nanki.
Our Mission
We aim to help Taita Galo’s achieve his mission of sharing his powerful medicine, message and culture inside and outside of Ecuador.
As we continue to grow this seed as a family, we aim to do so with transparency and with ethos. To help him teach about his native lineage with our modern day privileges in order to shed light on the Amazon’s indigenous protectors and to act as a bridge between worlds.
As we are learning to navigate these waters, we aim to always be authentic to what’s real and to staying true to integrity. To always work from the heart. Always in reverence to our elders and teachers. To the guardians of the jungle. The lungs of the earth. Our prayer is that we may all heal, and find family in each other once again.
